ACCELERATOR SESSION CO-ORGANIZED BY ACEA, GACERE and THE LAC Coalition

At the 2025 World Circular Economy Forum, ACEA co-convened a high-level session enabling peer exchange among governments advancing circular economy strategies. Policymakers from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia shared experiences on designing and implementing national circular economy roadmaps tailored to their contexts.

With countries preparing their NDCs 3.0, the session also explored how integrating circularity into climate and biodiversity strategies—such as Nationally Determined Contributions and National Biodiversity Action Plans—can accelerate environmental goals while enabling socio-economic transformation.

An interactive discussion followed, focusing on concrete solutions to mobilize and scale circular economy finance through public-private collaboration.
In the afternoon, the session Shaping Circular Food Futures: A Multi-Stakeholder Approach to Scale Up Innovationshighlighted effective policy instruments embedding circularity into food systems, demonstrating how such approaches enhance food security, reduce waste, and build climate resilience.
