In an ambitious stride towards sustainability, Chad has hosted its inaugural workshop to develop a national circular economy roadmap, marking a transformative moment for the country. As a member of the African Circular Economy Alliance (ACEA), Chad's commitment to circularity promises to overhaul key sectors including Waste Management, Agro-Industry, Energy, Plastics and Chemicals, Water, and Construction and Civil Engineering.
Backed by a Strong Coalition for Africa's circular transformation
This initiative is part of the National Circular Economy Roadmaps project (NCER) aiming to support five African countries- namely Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Ethiopia and Uganda - to design a circular economy roadmap. It is supported the African Development Bank Group's Circular Economy Facility (ACEF) in collaboration with ACEA, reflecting a united African resolve to pursue sustainable development.
Chad's Visionary Step Forward
As Chad embarks on this journey, it not only champions circular economy principles but also sets an example for nations across Africa and worldwide. The roadmap is a testament to the transformative power of collaborative action and the shared vision of a sustainable future.
